A Life of Procrastination

A few days ago, I had a neat little idea for a puzzle game, so I've been drawing up rooms that might be used in such a game. I've never learned to program, but I have a few friends who have been doing it since we were in elementary school just because they thought it was neat. I'm often envious of that fascination with a field that's so widely needed, but I've also found it interesting that they have trouble thinking of things to build with that knowledge. I have one friend in particular with whom I used to talk all the time about what kind of game we could make, with me generally providing a general idea for a game and some overarching design ideas, and him considering how that could be built. Along with another friend who is interested in a game's story and lore above all else, one who has a penchant for art in almost any visual medium and his brother who has a love for music, we could have formed a good basis for a game development company, if not for our universal tendency toward procrastination. As it stands now, none of us see each other all that much anymore, despite the fact that several of us work together, and everyone has their own priorities, as people tend to do as life goes on, and the more time passes, the less likely it seems that game development is in our future, at least as a team like I described.

This morning, I weighed 188.9 lbs

Yesterday, I ate:
~ A bowl of rice krispies
~ A cup of stir fried carrots and red peppers
~ 1/4 cup of almonds
~ A cup of siggi's
~ Three manicotti sleeves
~ Two pieces of garlic bread

I like coming up with simple concepts for games, because it makes it more likely that I can make them myself, assuming I can ever actually push myself to do so. Board games are also attractive this way because it means I don't have to learn any sort of coding. I've had quite a few ideas for games that seem like they'd be a lot of fun, at least to me, and maybe if I can learn to give myself a push, some of those might see the light of day.

Take it easy!
