Morning Yoga
Rok and I do yoga to wake up in the mornings. I am a little inconsistent with it though and I think as yet another goal I will try to do yoga, or some approximation such as a morning walk, everyday excluding Saturdays. Our routine is pretty simple and only takes around 11 minutes so it should be easy for me to do everyday, and some days the short length definitely makes me feel like "Hey it's only 11 minutes, I can do that." So I will try harder to get more into doing yoga everyday. The routine itself is nothing special. We use Wii fit to do our yoga every morning and these are the exercises we do:
We start with the Sun Salutation because Rok likes the sun and feels it is a good way to start the day.
Then we move on to the Chair pose, we used to also have the Palm Tree pose in our routine but thought that we didn't need both.
After that is a 30 second plank for me and a 60 second plank for Rok, Rok has a longer time because his core is better than mine. Also I know this isn't a yoga pose but Rok wanted it in there and I thought it would be good for me to be able to build my core muscles up.
Fourth is Torso Twists, 3 reps for me and 6 for Rok. Rok has more because he has bothered to unlock them which I should probably do at some point. Again this isn't a yoga pose but Rok wanted it there and I was fine with it.
Then we move onto the Warrior pose, this one is pretty easy on the balance board but while Rok regularly gets perfect balance I only got it once and I had to concentrate so hard to get it.
And we finish up with the Tree pose, the first time I did this pose I fell right over, I have since gotten better but I am still working on getting even better and gaining the balance necessary.
Today I weighed: 213 lbs
Yesterday I ate:
> Two small pancakes
> A thinner black bean burger
> Several cucumber slices
> A small amount of cheese
> Rice and veggie stir fry
Yesterday I drank: 84 oz of water
So for the no one interested there is our current daily yoga routine.
Stay cool.
