Goal Reflection Day: Dec. 23 2018
So it's my first goal reflection day for a while and I've restructured some of my goals. I'm also adopting a loot system to hopefully help me stay on top of them. Ideally, loot for a goal is something related to the goal itself and that might help with similar goals in the future. At the very least, it shouldn't be detrimental. It seems counterintuitive, for example, to celebrate keeping up with your diet for a month with a trip to Golden Corral. Maybe instead get a new knife that might help you prep your food faster or a cool new set of gym clothes that you'll want to show off. Those are helpful pieces of loot.
So lets begin.
Fitness Based
Bench 100 lbs. (Bar+55)
Alu and I have been lifting at the gym recently and we had to start with just the bar. It's my understanding that a regular barbell is 45 pounds on its own and we've been adding more to it pretty quickly, so we might hit this goal before too long! So I guess I'd better figure out what the loot is for this one...
Tuesday Night Yoga consistently (Streak 5)
We started doing yoga at Alu's aunt's house on Tuesday nights and I think it's been really good for us, so I think we need to keep that up.
Morning Yoga consistently (Streak 20)
In addition to weight and Tuesday night yoga, we usually try to wake ourselves up in the morning with yoga on Wii Fit U. Days where we start with yoga tend to be better days, I think.
Lift Three Times per week (Streak 30)
So I have the goal for the weight itself, but as far as how we're getting there, we need to stay consistent. So far we have been since we started back up after Alu's wisdom teeth removal, so we just need to stick with it.
Reach Weight Goal (? lbs.)
I know I'm heavier than I want to be, but I'm not sure how heavy I want to be. So the first step is figuring that out. This morning, I weighed 175.5 lbs.
Lifestyle Based
Meal prep every week (Streak 5)
We've been trying to get into weekly meal prep, but have never really started. So we're at step one.
Perform beard care every day for one full month (Streak 30)
I tend to let my beard get scraggly and dry as it grows and then I have to cut it back. I'd rather not have to do that, so I need to actually take care of it. I haven't for the last couple of days though. :T
Log Food every day for one month (Streak 30)
Logging food is a good step to losing weight. If I have to write down the oreo, I'm more accountable for it. I'm less likely to eat it. It's a good plan.
Stream Every Monday/Friday for three months (Streak 24)
We started our stream back up and now I can plug it, so you can watch Alu and I stream random games for an hour or so every Monday at 10AM and Friday at 10PM Mountain Time at twitch.tv/datenightgames!
Fill Water Time every day for one month (Streak 30)
Water intake is important. If you drink enough water, you don't need to eat as much food, you feel better, you don't wake up at night because your blood is too thick. Good times.
Fill Water Time and Log Food every day for four months (Streak 120)
This is just a combination of a couple of previous ones, BUT BIGGER!
So those are my goals for now, and I have them written down outside of this blog, so they'll be easier to keep track of because for some reason I can't seem to think to look at my old blogs and take it down from there. So maybe this is better!
Take it easy!
