Can I be a Machinist?

I am having more and more doubts about being a machinist. I can't stand for hours at a time, I am having trouble wrapping my head around measurements and the math necessary, and I don't feel like I'm retaining any information from the online portion of our class. It's worrying me that the career choice I made isn't going to work out. Which would suck because we dropped a lot of money on this class and it's the solution we have come up with to solve our unhappiness with our current job. We still aren't onto actual machines yet, the lathe and the mill are the ones we will be working with. We are still grinding the bits we will be using on the other machines. I definitely don't think I am cut out for grinding metal. I am just hoping once I get past the grinding part everything will start to fall into place and I will feel like this is the right move.

Today I weighed: 206.5 lbs

Yesterday I ate:
>Half of a fake meat sausage patty
> One and a half cheesy bean and rice burritos from taco bell
>A bottle of soylent
> A bowl of ramen

Yesterday I drank: About 20oz of water

Here's hoping things work out. But just in case please for me:

Stay Cool.
