Goal Reflection Day: June 4-10, 2018

Over the last week, I've mentioned a few specific goals of mine, and specific goals are often touted as key to self improvement. With that in mind, I've decided that Sundays will be Goal Reflection Day here on Getting a Life Together.
What goals have I set for myself?
Which of those have I worked toward or met?
Should any of them change?
These entries are likely to be somewhat longer and more segmented than others, I think.

Goals From Last Week

Get Kitchen Clean: Complete*

I forgot to get before pictures of how gross our kitchen was, but it was pretty bad.
It's not quite done yet and I'm not sure if it ever will be, really, but I've definitely made it much more pleasant to cook in at least. That was my major reason all along, so I'm counting this one as complete, though with an asterisk showing that it will need to be maintained, at the very least.

Get Blog Set Up: Complete

This one is pretty clearly complete, since you're reading it right now. Again, it will need to be kept up over time, but getting started is probably the biggest hurdle, I think.

Install Towel Racks: Incomplete - Deadline, June 30, 2018

I haven't brought this one up in prior entries, but our bathroom does not have anywhere to hang towels, save for over the curtain rod. There are brackets on the wall where a towel rack used to be, but the rack itself is conspicuously absent. It's not the biggest problem to have our towels just on the toilet seat while we shower or to keep a hand towel directly on the counter, but I would like to buy and install a towel bar and ring by the end of the month, all the same.

Get nook Checked Out: Incomplete - Deadline, June 11, 2018

Our job allows us to have e-readers at our desks with some caveats, so I have a nook that I use for RPG books so I can do some campaign work in my downtime. Unfortunately, it froze several months ago and removing the battery to unfreeze it has proven difficult. I've been meaning to take it into Barnes and Noble to see if they can do anything about it, but I haven't yet gotten around to it.

Preparing Lunch For Saturdays: Ongoing

I'll probably stop including this one if I get to be consistent enough at it, but as it stands, I think having it here will help me put priority on it.

Weigh In At <150: Incomplete - Deadline, June 30, 2019

This is my biggest goal at the moment and a large part of the reason I decided to start this blog. I'll be posting a smaller weight goal separately from this and that one will probably get more attention in these reflection posts, assuming I have anything to say about them.

Weigh In At <193: Incomplete - Deadline, June 22, 2018

Alu and I have been weighing ourselves using Wii Fit U for months now, but haven't really been motivated to lose anything significant. So, as far as this journal is concerned, this is my first step. Not a large one, but significant, nonetheless.

Speaking of weight,
This morning, I weighed 195.1 lbs.
Today I ate

~ A mac and cheese bagel from Einstein's
~ 32oz. blueberry green tea
~ A can of Hormel veggie chili
~ 7 Ritz crackers
~ About a cup of unflavored siggi's yogurt with a bit of vanilla added
~ A few hi chews
~ An Amy's chili Mac bowl
~ Several more Ritz crackers
~ A small bowl of the last ice cream in the house

If all goes according to plan, posting every day will help me keep me goal-oriented, so hopefully Alu and I can start to be more healthy and productive members of society!

Take it easy!
