Cooking and General Inspiration
We've been watching a lot of Binging with Babish on YouTube. I appreciate how detailed and straightforward his videos are and it makes me want to cook more. Watching people who seem to be where they want to be in life doing what they like doing is pretty inspiring to me. A large part of the reason I started this blog is that, assuming I can take a desirable path in life, I wanted that journey to be documented, both so that I could look back on my own progress and so others might see that progress and see that maybe they can get to where they want to be as well.
It's easy to look at someone you idolize and think you could never get to where they are, but they had to start somewhere. Arnold probably wasn't jacked when he was a little kid, but at some point, he decided he wanted to be and after years of hard work, he got to be Mr. Universe and eventually the Terminator. So can the rest of us.
That went in a weird direction that I didn't anticipate.
This morning, I weighed 195.9 lbs.
Today, I ate
~ A 22oz. smoothie comprised of strawberries, banana, mixed berries, honey nut cheerios, chopped kale, peanut butter, milk and plain Siggi's skyr
~ A serving of veggie noodle spaghetti tossed in butter, Italian seasoning and lemon juice
~ About a cup of watermelon
~ A can of tomato basil soup
~ A small sleeve of Ritz crackers
Here's what we did at the gym:
~ Swam four laps with our new goggles
My last few blog entries were planned several days ahead of time, and i'm finding that that sort of discouraged me from making sure they went up complete. So I'm going to try doing them more in the moment. It may end up being a bit more difficult overall, but if I can keep consistent, it should result in better entries.
Take it easy!
